A carefully designed building with a large gable at each end and large eaves with the pool overlooking the stunning South Downs National Park.
The pool house has sliding doors on the side elevation and rear gable which open to the patio area. The pool is a vaulted space with large gable glazing and ridge roof-lights bringing in lots of natural light. The is a gym space in the first-floor gallery area looking down into the pool. Under the gym at ground floor is the pool entrance, changing facilities and a double garage opening to the front.
The pool building is designed to be sympathetic in its relationship to the site and the existing house. The building is clad in brick with a clay tile roof to match the main house and the aluminium windows and sliding doors all have minimal grey frames. A chunky oak frame supports the vaulted roof over the pool and forms a main feature of the interior.
